WWE Hall Of Famer Says WWE Didn’t Put Him In Great Spots In Saudi Arabia WWE

WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle has opened up about his experiences wrestling in Saudi Arabia as part of WWE’s deal with the country’s government.

Angle appeared at both the Greatest Royal Rumble and the company’s Crown Jewel event in 2018.

Speaking on the most recent episode of his podcast The Kurt Angle Show, Angle noted that while his participation in the events paid well, he was not put in any particularly great spots by the company:

“I will say this. They didn’t put me in great spots. I think I did a Royal Rumble. I was an entrant of a Battle Royal. I also did a seven-minute match with Dolph Ziggler.

“The match wasn’t — Dolph was great, don’t get me wrong, but at this point in time, I wasn’t so great because I kind of lost the step at this particular time in my career. It wasn’t where I wanted to be.

“I was hoping to be more main event status. Still, the money was really good. It was like I main-evented a pay-per-view.”

Angle has hinted that he may be open to more wrestling appearances, following a recent appearance on WWE Raw in which he recreated his famous milk truck sport alongside fellow Olympian Gable Steveson.
