After retiring from in-ring competition, Kevin Nash has quietly carved out a role in Hollywood making appearances in several films. Nash now has a new role in an upcoming comedy called Chick Fight.
The film stars Bella Thorne, Malin Akerman and Alex Baldwin. The plot of the film sees Akerman’s character introduced to an underground all-female fight club. No word on if the fight club will have awkward male strippers for one week before they disappear with no explanation.
Akerman’s character uses the fight club to try to turn life around. However, she ultimately realizes she has a close personal connection to the fight club.
Nash’s character is simply called Ed. You can see the trailer below:
The film will release on November 13 in theaters, on-demand, and on digital streaming services. Akerman has said she is a fan of fight movies and buddy comedies.
However, Chick Fight flips the typical male-dominated comedy scene on its head by producing a fight/buddy comedy focused on females. It will be interesting to see how the film is received.
Hopefully, for all involved, it will be more successful than Raw Underground.
