WWE Hall Of Famer Wanted To Win World Titles During WWE Return

When Kurt Angle returned to WWE in 2017 there were tons of possible matches and storylines to involve him in. Unfortunately, Angle’s final WWE run resulted in him being beaten far more than it should have.

Now, Angle has expressed that he wanted to come back to WWE to kick ass and win world titles. Here is the quote from a recent episode of The Kurt Angle Show, courtesy of Sportskeeda:

“It’s disappointing because I wanted to perform at that level. I came back to WWE with the mindset that I was going to kickass and take names and win world titles, you know, a good example is Goldberg. He comes back and, you know, wins world titles and is in the main event at WrestleMania. I was hoping that the same would be for me. But, it just didn’t happen. So, unfortunately, because my body was shutting down because of the inactivity of not wrestling, it was just really difficult for me to perform at that level anymore.”

Kurt Angle did not win a championship during his last WWE run. Instead, he had a major match when he teamed with Ronda Rousey to face Triple H and Stephanie McMahon at WrestleMania 34 before being retired by Baron Corbin at WrestleMania 35.
