WWE Hall Of Famer Wants Saudi Arabia Match With Triple H

WWE Hall Of Famer Wants Saudi Arabia Match With Triple H

A WWE legend has said that he’d return to the ring for a rematch against Triple H, as long as one condition is met.

Triple H famously defeated Booker T for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 19. Many thought Booker seemed destined to win the title at WrestleMania, but he came up short in front of 54,000 live fans.

After their WrestleMania match, Booker T never managed to pin Triple H one-on-one. Fans of Booker T may be in luck, as he has revealed that if the situation was right, he’d come out of retirement to face Triple H.

Booker has revealed that he’d accept a rematch with Triple H, as long as the bout takes place on a Saudi Arabia show. Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, he revealed his reasoning, noting that Saudi matches in the past have came with big pay-outs.

Here is the full quote, courtesy of Fightful:

“If Booker T vs. Triple H went down, it would have to be in Saudi because they are passing out big big checks. For me to get in the ring, the situation would have to be right. I would want to get paid to get back in the ring. ‘Oh you wrestle at Reality of Wrestling.’ Yeah, that’s my place and it’s my job to teach my students how it’s done sometimes. That’s how I am. I would love to have another match, if the situation is right, with Triple H. A lot of people think about that match and talk about it and the ending wasn’t what most fans wanted. So many people wanted me to win that night. A couple of the office guys were like, ‘Book, you should have won that night.’ WELL YOU WROTE IT! Why didn’t you speak up? [laughs]. I don’t lose any sleep over it because I’ve looked at wrestling like movies. Sometimes, the bad guy wins. I’ve never once looked back at that match and been like, ‘you should’ve won that.'”

Booker T wrestled his last match for WWE in 2012, but makes sporadic appearances for his wrestling school’s sister promotion, Reality of Wrestling.

He wouldn’t be the first person to return to WWE for a Saudi Arabia super show. After retiring at WrestleMania 26 in 2010, Shawn Michaels returned to the ring to team with Triple H at Crown Jewel 2018.

Booker T was featured prominently at Royal Rumble 2021, appearing in Bad Bunny’s live performance, which already has over 3.1 million views on YouTube.
