WWE Hall of Famers Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler and Rikishi, with WCW’s Buff Bagwell in their corner, became the new Grind City Tag Team Champions last night. The duo defeated the greatly experienced Steiner Brothers to capture the gold. Lawler would actually respond to this in his own tweet, saying that this was his 170th championship.
Hey! This makes 170 Championships for me!!! But who's counting? https://t.co/LPgE1juFuD

”The King” paid his respects to his son, ”Grandmaster Sexay” (Brian Lawler) who tragically passed away in 2018. Lawler wore his son’s vest whilst dancing with Rikishi and would even use his son’s nickname for the night.
