An intergender tag team match has been pitched by a current WWE star with their eyes on TNA Wrestling’s The Hardys.

Following their return to WWE on NXT, Matt Hardy has previously revealed that more lies ahead for the pair.

If WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Katana Chance gets her way, one of those things could involve an intergender tag team match.

Speaking on Ring the Belle, Chance would speak about the influence of The Hardy Boyz on her and discuss a potential match, saying:

“If possible, I would say me and Kayden vs. The Hardy Boyz.

“Way back, watching wrestling, me and my sister. Who did we love? The Hardy Boyz. They were always doing the crazy stuff.

“Like, I feel like what we’re trying to do. We’re definitely a little bit toned down, but we tried to get people to watch and be like, ‘Oh my gosh. I never thought somebody would do that,’ right? So, I feel like they were a huge inspiration to that.

“So I feel like me and Kayden vs. The Hardy Boyz would be really cool.”

Matt Hardy has previously suggested that he thinks the TNA World Tag Team Championship being defended on a main roster WWE show is only a matter of time.

The multi-year partnership between WWE and TNA Wrestling was announced in January 2025 with a focus on NXT stars and their counterparts in the Anthem Sports & Entertainment-owned company.
