A new report confirms that WWE has expressed interest in potentially signing a top AEW tag team when they become available.
Per Fightful Select (subscription required), WWE are interested in re-signing Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler of FTR when their deals with AEW expire.
FTR is having the hottest year of their careers with some incredible encounters against The Briscoes and The Young Bucks as of late.
Harwood and Wheeler are the current ROH and AAA World Tag Team Champions as well.
The duo worked for WWE until 2019 when they turned down huge offers of $850,000 per year each, with Mark Carrano even mentioning that he could get them both $1 million each before they left for AEW.
In a new update, AEW contacted Fightful to inform them that FTR has over a year remaining on their current deals.
We will have further updates on FTR and their futures when they become available.
