A WWE name and international star have both expressed interest in facing off for another promotion’s heavyweight championship.
The November 8 Pro Wrestling NOAH Star Navigation event saw the GHC Heavyweight Championship change hands, with Yoshiki Inamura defeating KENTA to win the gold.
WWE fans will recognize Inamura from his WWE excursion, which saw him wrestle for WWE from November 2024 to August of this year.
While Inamura mostly wrestled on NXT, he did share the ring with current Raw star Ivar, losing to the War Raider on the March 5 episode of WWE Speed.
Ivar has now congratulated Inamura, while hinting at a rematch for the GHC Heavyweight Championship.
Sharing Inamura’s post, Ivar tweeted:
👀
My Dude! 🤘🤘🤘
Looking forward to fighting in the ring again….. maybe for your title!
Inamura stated that he wants this match too, replying:
Thank you Ivar san!!!
Me too✌️
I want Strong, Tough and Heavy fight!!!
Not unfamiliar with challenging for non-WWE heavyweight titles, Ivar notably challenged for the Chaotic Wrestling Heavyweight Championship at Chaotic Wrestling’s 25 Year Anniversary Celebration event in September.
This match ended via disqualification, and resulted in a big brawl which saw a number of Chaotic Wrestling mainstays celebrate their promotion’s new milestone.
Ivar last wrestled on WWE TV during the October 20 Raw episode, competing in the World Heavyweight Championship #1 contender’s battle royal.
