WWE Higher-Ups Reportedly ‘Very Happy’ With NXT Star Matt Riddle

Matt Riddle might be one hell of an in-ring wrestler, but his exceptional Twitter game is arguably his best asset. On a more serious note, Riddle has been causing somewhat of a stir on social media recently.

The “Original Bro” announced over the weekend that he would be at the most recent Raw show to prevent Brock Lesnar from cashing-in his Money In The Bank briefcase. However, he did not appear on the broadcast in any capacity, and later claimed that he wasn’t even allowed backstage.

Some questioned if Riddle’s antics on social media were resulting in him having some backstage heat from WWE officials.

However, Dave Meltzer has shut down those claims and claimed that WWE management are actually “very happy” with the former UFC star. He even said it was possible that WWE were the ones asking him to say these things online:

“He is fine, they are happy. I don’t know that they’ve actually told him to do this, but they are not unhappy that he’s doing it, and he’s not been told to stop. Some people think that he was told to do it, I don’t know if that’s really the case, that’s more speculation, but he certainly hasn’t been told to stop. They’re not unhappy at all, I’ve heard that they are very happy actually.”

This comes after it was reported that Riddle was discussed at the weekend as one of the potential NXT stars to be included in the WWE Super ShowDown 50-man Battle Royale, in what would be his main roster debut.
