A top WWE star has discussed a recent attempt to get into the world of acting, albeit one that went quite hilariously wrong.
Talking on Out of Character, Sami Zayn revealed his attempt to branch out beyond his current work in WWE, even meeting with an agent to potentially get work.
However, unfortunately for Zayn the agent was not familiar with Zayn’s extensive work in major WWE storylines, heralded for their drama and storytelling such as throughout The Bloodline saga.
Zayn re-told the hilarious experience and interaction with the agent which ultimately lead nowhere, saying:
“I talked to an agent recently but the agent din’t really know my body of work, I don’t know maybe they were talking to me as a favor, I really don’t know.
“But it was really interesting because, you know I’ve somehow reached the top of this industry and you kind of take that as a given in a weird way.
“But as I’m having a meeting with this agent, I didn’t treat it as a job interview which maybe I should have, I was really just talking to him like I’m talking to you.
“He’s like ‘so do you have any acting experience or anything like that?’
“And instead of saying well I’ve been wrestling for 20 years and wrestling is essentially acting, every component of it has something to do with acting and body language and physical mannerisms and storytelling, so in a manner of speaking I’ve been acting for 20 years, that would have been a great answer.
“Instead what I said was ‘nope, no acting experience.’
“So then he was like ‘oh okay, I kind of see what I’m dealing with, lets reconvene another time.’”

While the meeting with the agent didn’t go to plan, it’s hard to imagine Zayn not having success in acting based on his work in WWE in recent years.
