WWE star R-Truth has revealed that one of his most famous comedic moments was an idea presented to him by a fan.

The former World Tag Team Champion’s slightly-confused character is beloved by fans, with some hilarious WWE moments born out of R-Truth’s confusion.

One of Truth’s most iconic mess-ups saw him hilariously bring a ladder into the ring during the 2016 Royal Rumble match, with Truth under the impression it was a ladder match.

Speaking with Chris Van Vliet, R-Truth confirmed that this moment was inspired by a tweet from a fan.

Noting that he pays attention to fan social media posts, Truth said:

“That was a fan’s idea. Yes, I do read those tweets, I see them all too so watch what you say. But, yeah, I saw a fan tweet that, ‘I see you running in there, going in with the ladder.’

“I was like, Oh my gosh, that’s funny. Took it to creative, and they was like, let’s do it.”

Truth was meant to face Pete Dunne on the December 30 Raw episode, but was attacked by Dunne while making his entrance.
