WWE has now hired a new Senior Vice President of Talent ID & Development who will work directly with Triple H in NXT.
This certainly appears to be a replacement for Canyon Ceman who was recently released from his role as Senior Director of Talent Development.
A new LinkedIn post from Trent D Wilfinger reads as follows:
Next Chapter
In the last few weeks, a massive opportunity came about that I am extremely excited to share. Later this month, I will be joining the WWE as their new Senior Vice President of Talent ID & Development. I look forward to working side by side James Kimball under the leadership of Paul Levesque to help bring to life a game changing vision and strategy.
It’s time to go find, support, and develop the next wave of WWE Superstars. #wwe #nxt
Wilfinger was previously the Senior Vice President & General Manager of the Sports Division for EXOS.
It is believed Ceman was released over the situation with Adam Cole’s contract, which was that management thought he was contracted until the end of the year, when in fact, his deal expired this past July.
Cole has since signed an agreement to stay with the company until after SummerSlam weekend to finish his program with Kyle O’Reilly.
