Despite their ongoing talent ‘hiring freeze’ it seems as if WWE are not intent on slowing down their staff hires anytime soon.
As posted recently on LinkedIn, WWE are currently seeking multiple new hires, whilst these positions cover multiple different departments, perhaps most interesting to fans is their pursuit of a new writer and writer’s assistant.
According to the job role an applicant interested in the writer position should have a minimum of five years writing experience in TV, film or social media, a BA/BS in media studies, TV, drama, film, communications or other relevant field.
They should also be willing to travel to live Raw, Smackdown and PPV events, attend regular creative meetings at WWE HQ in Stanford amongst other responsibilities.
As for the writer’s assistant role only two years experience is required however, a strong knowledge of WWE’s product is needed as well as a clean driver’s licence and within commuting distance to the NY Metro/Stanford area.
As well as these two roles WWE are also advertising for positions such as an Income Tax Manager, Building Automation Technician, Mechanical Infrastructure Supervisor, CMMS Technician, Space Planner/CAD Technician, Media Prep Technician, Director of Sales, Road Production Assistant, Manager of International, and VP of Special Events.
Despite a lot of uncertainty surrounding Triple H’s future in charge of WWE’s creative, his leading role has seemed more secure lately, however, that may just be surface level as recent reports have detailed McMahon’s actual current creative power.
