WWE Hall Of Famer Discusses Strange Detail About Ronda Rousey WWE Debut WWE

A WWE Hall of Famer has discussed a strange detail about Ronda Rousey’s WWE debut.

At WWE Royal Rumble 2018, Asuka won the first ever Women’s Royal Rumble match. Following the bout, “The Empress of Tomorrow” stood between Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss and SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair.

This is when UFC Hall of Famer Ronda Rousey made her official debut for WWE and came down to the ring to signal that she was heading to WrestleMania by pointing at the sign for a long time.

Speaking on the “Oh You Didn’t Know” podcast, Road Dogg recalled the reaction to Rousey’s extended point to the WrestleMania sign.

The WWE Hall of Famer, who was a producer at this time, revealed that this was a decision by Ronda Rousey herself and not one by a producer. He stated:

“All right. So truth be told, I don’t think anybody I think they said go out there, and when you get out there point to the point to the, or you know, face the hard cam and point to the sign.”

“I remember her pointing at it for an extended period of time. It got a little bit like okay, you can put your arm down now. But nobody told her to do that. Nobody.”

Reiterating that the talent have more control over certain aspects than people will believe, Road Dogg said:

“That’s one thing I love and I don’t want to take up too much time but people think like that we make the gear for them, and we tell them what to wear and tell them how to act and it’s like, it’s not not the case. We tell them how not to act that only when only when they act out of, you know, out of bounds.”

Rousey hasn’t been seen on WWE TV since the December 30 edition of SmackDown when she lost the SmackDown Women’s Championship to Charlotte Flair.
