A WWE Hall of Famer thinks it’s time to put the rocket on Rhea Ripley.
At WWE Royal Rumble, Rhea Ripley entered at #1 and went on to set the record for the longest time in a Women’s Royal Rumble match, becoming the first woman to enter as the first entrant and win the match.
Meanwhile, Cody Rhodes made his return at the #30 spot and went on to win the Men’s Royal Rumble match.
On the latest episode of his podcast, “The Hall of Fame”, Booker T discussed the Royal Rumble and his belief that WWE needs to go all the way with Ripley. He said:
“Rhea Ripley, it’s, it’s really her time to, you know, get the rocket put on her and put her, take her to the moon.”
“She’s a player. She’s a major player. Cody Rhodes coming over and coming back, you know, making his return to the Royal Rumble, it was too bad not to capitalize off of.”
“You know, yeah, yeah, I mean, it was just a no-brainer. Anybody who was watching the show should’ve felt that same way because it feels like wrestling again.”
Rhea Ripley will now move on to challenge Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 39 in April.
Meanwhile, Cody Rhodes will challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at the Show of Shows.
Before then, Reigns will face Sami Zayn for the title at Elimination Chamber in Zayn’s hometown of Montreal on February 18. For the full lineup for the event, click here.
