WWE Hall Of Famer Reveals Regret For Not Taking John Cena Move WWE

A WWE Hall of Famer has opened up on regret he had in his career for not taking a move pitched to him by John Cena.

John Cena is currently in the midst of his record-breaking 17th reign as world champion in WWE, defeating Cody Rhodes to win the Undisputed WWE Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 41 Sunday.

Cena captured his first world championship of his career back at WrestleMania 21, when he defeated JBL to win the WWE Championship on the show.

Speaking on Something To Wrestle With, JBL was asked if there were ever any moves that he said no to taking during his legendary career.

He admitted that he feels regret over not taking a move Cena pitched for their rivalry, where he would deliver a double Attitude Adjustment to both JBL and Orlando Jordan.

He said:

“There were a few [moves he said no to] throughout my career. The only one that I regret it was later in my career, and I got hurt a lot. Cena wanted to put Orlando [Jordan] on his shoulders and me on top and do the double, AA to us. And I knew I’d get hurt because I’d been hurt so many times recently with that… I thought physically, I can’t take it, and I had to tell John, ‘I think I’m gonna get hurt.

“And I just, to this day, I regret that. I just, you know, it’s not a shitty thing to do, but it just felt shitty, you know… I wanted to do it. I just, I just knew I physically couldn’t do it. And that’s when I realized, you know what, it’s about, time for me to get out of here.”

Cena is set to face off against R-Truth at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event this Saturday.
