WWE Hall Of Famer Explains Why Matt & Jeff Hardy Were ‘Misused’ In AEW AEW

WWE Hall of Famer and NXT commentator Booker T has explained why Matt and Jeff Hardy were “misused” in AEW.

After several years with All Elite Wrestling, Matt Hardy chose not to re-sign with the company in April 2024 and Jeff followed suit just two months later. Both men immediately made the jump to return to TNA Wrestling where they currently work.

Speaking on The Hall of Fame podcast, WWE NXT commentator Booker T explained why The Hardys were “misused” in AEW. He said:

“I think they were mismanaged, misused in AEW because they brought the Hardys in and they wanted to recreate the Hardys from when they first came in the WWE and were having ladder matches with the Dudleys and I just thought that was a bad move.”

“The first thing Matt Hardy did was like dive off a scaffold or something, a forklift or something and damn near killed himself.”

“I think the last thing Jeff Hardy was a part of was Sammy Guevara breaking his nose … that experiment in AEW, it did not work out at all.”

The Hardys are set to challenge The System for the TNA World Tag Team Championships on an upcoming episode of TNA IMPACT.
