WWE Hall Of Famer Discusses Coming To Terms With Retirement WWE

WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker has discussed coming to terms with his retirement after the Boneyard Match at WrestleMania 36.

At WrestleMania 36, The Undertaker defeated AJ Styles to win the Boneyard Match.

Despite making several appearances on WWE programming since then, the Boneyard Match has remained Taker’s final official match of his wrestling career.

One of his most recent appearance saw Taker chokeslam The Rock during the Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns Undisputed WWE Championship main event on night two of WrestleMania 40.

On the latest edition of his Six Feet Under podcast, The Undertaker reflected on his WrestleMania 40 appearance giving him closure for his retirement. He said:

“In my mind, I could still go, but in my heart, I wanted to. But I knew I was done, out of gas.”

“It took me a while to come to grips with it, even though I knew it was the right thing. There was still that huge void.”

“‘What do I do now?’ I don’t know that I want to coach, or do this. This is all I’ve known for the past 30-plus years.”

The Undertaker made his latest appearance on the January 6 Netflix premiere of WWE Raw, sharing a moment with WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley.

Taker currently serves as one of the coaches on the new WWE LFG show that airs every Sunday on A&E.
