A WWE Hall of Famer has detailed a heartfelt conversation with Triple H whilst attending the Raw Netflix premiere on January 6.
Among the celebrities and WWE stars in attendance at the Los Angeles’ Intuit Dome for Raw’s Netflix premiere was WWE Hall of Famer X-Pac (Sean Waltman).
The multi-time former champion and long-time friend of WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H, saw his former D-Generation X stablemate open the show on January 6 with a rousing cold open, in which he reflected on the history of WWE and pro wrestling as a whole.
Speaking to Justin Barrasso of Undisputed, X-Pac shared the heartfelt words he shared with Triple H at the show in LA, noting how he’s turned WWE’s product around in recent years:
“I’ll share something I haven’t told anyone else, when we were at Raw, I said to him, ‘You deserve all this. And the fans deserve you.’
“The fans dealt with a lot of bulls**t over the years. It was hard to be a fan for a while, and I don’t f**king mind saying it. It’s different now.
“He’s here for the fans. There is so much happiness and excitement surrounding WWE. This is what I always envisioned for him. It’s amazing.”
In a press release after the show aired Netflix revealed that Monday’s WWE Raw amassed 4.9 million viewers globally, reaching 2.6 million households in the United States.
