WWE Hall Of Famer Shares Update On Injured TNA Wrestling Star WWE/TNA

WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam has shared an update on the injury to former three-time TNA World Tag Team Champion Chris Bey.

At the October 27, 2024 TNA IMPACT TV taping from Detroit, Chris Bey suffered a serious neck injury during a tag team match with Ace Austin against The Hardys. Bey was rushed to the hospital where he underwent emergency surgery that night.

On the latest edition of the 1 Of A Kind podcast, Rob Van Dam provided an update on Chris Bey’s status over two months later.

Explaining how he and Katie Forbes live near Bey and recently went for a visit when he returned home, RVD said:

“Chris Bey happens to live very close to us. Katie and I went and visited him because he made it home.”

“He was stuck in the hospital for like two months. He had a match, if you don’t know, with the Hardy Boyz.”

“I know very little about it, but they were going for a move that didn’t work out safely, and Chris broke his neck and then he was paralyzed.”

Van Dam continued on to explain Bey’s long journey back, saying:

“I don’t know how much we should talk about, really, but let me just say that he’s going to wait until he’s ready to talk. Of course, I invited him on here.”

He is much better than I imagined and much better than he was when he was paralyzed. So, he’s not (paralyzed) anymore, and he’s getting everything back.”

“He’s going to make a come back too, a full comeback, I’m sure of it but it’s going to be a long journey, and we’ll probably check in with him a lot because, like I said, he lives really close.”

RVD recently appeared on the November 6 episode of WWE NXT from the ECW Arena in Philadelphia.

WrestleTalk would like to wish Chris Bey the best in his continued recovery from this injury.
