A WWE Hall of Famer has teased a Royal Rumble return following a major weight loss journey across the last year.
In March 2024, former three-time WWE Champion Mick Foley canceled plans to make a pro wrestling comeback for one final retirement Death Match, revealing that this was due to suffering a concussion unknowingly during training.
Now, in an update 10 months later, Foley has taken to his YouTube channel to share a big health update.
In the new video (see below) Foley detailed his goal from March last year to lose 80 pounds by his 60th birthday on June 7, 2025, in preparation for his aforementioned final match,
At that point Foley had weighed in at 360 pounds in March 2024 after hitting an all-time high of 377, but when weighing himself during the video he revealed that he now sits at 279.9 pounds – achieving his goal five months ahead of his birthday.
Foley attributed his loss to an “old fashioned three-way process” of eating healthier, working out and the use of Wegovy – a weight loss medication.
The hardcore legend also mentioned his use of Diamond Dallas Page’s DDP Yoga program and swimming as key components of his journey, noting how his lifestyle changes even led to him appearing in Ohio Valley Wrestling’s Nightmare Rumble on January 4.
After noting early in the video how he couldn’t even perform three push-ups at his heaviest weight, Foley detailed the contrast to how he felt during that appearance:
“Even though I didn’t do much, afterwards I wasn’t winded, I didn’t feel exhausted, I felt really good, I drove home I had that performer’s high.”
Foley would then drop a tease for a Rumble match of a far bigger scale, WWE’s Royal Rumble 2025, to which he teasingly said:
“I wouldn’t say I’m not entering the Royal Rumble, but I’m not entering the Royal Rumble.”
Foley then jokingly acted like he was receiving a call from WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H, complete with The Game’s entrance music playing.
During the ‘phone call’ Foley acted like Triple H had seen his return in the OVW Nightmare Rumble and wanted him to appear at WWE’s event on February 1, with Foley then acting flustered and asking for the cameraman to stop filming the video.
