WWE Star Shares Message After Paying Homage To Top Athletes

WWE star Naomi has sent a message to the Olympic gold medal winning US gymnastics team after paying homage to the athletes on SmackDown.

Naomi teamed with Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair on the August 24 show. The trio defeated Blair Davenport, Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn in trios action.

Eagle-eyed fans noticed that Naomi, Cargill and Belair were each wearing gear that matched a previous leotard design of the US gymnastics team, with images of the WWE trio next to comparison photos of Simone Biles doing the rounds on social media.

Naomi has now taken to Twitter to thank Simone Biles, Hezly Rivera, Jade Carey, Sunisa Lee and Jordan Chiles for inspiring them.

She wrote:

Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair are now set to challenge for Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn’s WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship at the August 31 Bash In Berlin premium live event.

Cargill and Belair lost the titles at the June 15 Clash At The Castle event, which Fyre and Dawn won in a three-way bout.
