The rules for two new WWE Championships have been revealed ahead of the inaugural tournament that starts during WrestleMania week.
In February 2025, the new WWE ID Championships were revealed for both the men’s and women’s roster, with the respective winners being determined in a tournament.
Now, the rules for the upcoming tournament have been revealed ahead of its start during WrestleMania 41 week in Las Vegas.
According to the official announcement on the WWE ID Twitter account, the titles are open to all independent wrestlers once the champion is crowned, explaining:
“BREAKING….
“The WWE ID Championships will be open to all independent wrestlers once the champions are crowned. The titles will be defended at various independent wrestling events.
“If a non-WWE ID prospect wins the title, they will be awarded a WWE ID contract.
“The WWE ID Title Tournament begins in Las Vegas during #WrestleMania week with two events.
“@GCWrestling_ will present The ID Tournament at @collective2025 on April 16th.
“@FSWVegas will present The ID Tournament on April 18th after #SmackDown
“The opening round will be double elimination. Two losses and you are out!
“All current WWE ID prospects are in the tournament.”
At GCW The Collective, it was announced that Zayda Steel would take on Kylie Rae in a championship tournament opening round match.
FSW will host Ice Williams vs. Brad Baylor in a men’s championship tournament first-round match on April 18.
