A WWE ID name has chosen to not renew their contract, sharing their thanks for the opportunity that started in November of last year.
Zayda Steel was among the first names to be confirmed as being under a WWE ID contract.
Continuing to compete on the independent scene, Steel also made appearances on the Tubi-streamed WWE Evolve.
Steel has now confirmed that she has chosen not to renew her WWE ID contract in a post on Twitter that reads:
“I’ve decided not to renew my WWE ID contract.
“I’m incredibly grateful for all the knowledge, experience, and opportunities I’ve gained along the way, but at the end of the day, I have to do what’s best for me.
“I’m only 21, and have already done so much, but I’m just getting started! Thank you ❤️”
Among the responses to the post was one from Anthony Bowen’s, with the AEW star replying:
“You’re gonna do great things! ✌🏽”
At the GCW ID Showcase in August, Steel competed with Zara Zakher and Kylie Rae for the WWE ID Women’s Championship.
Kylie Rae would go on to win the title, although her recently announced pregnancy has seen the championship vacated.
WWE ID was launched in October 2024 as a development program for independent wrestling talent.
Along with the WWE ID Women’s Championship, the men’s title is currently held by Cappuccino Jones.
