A WWE champion is set to defend his gold against another champion, providing he can win his upcoming title defence first.
With WWE Evolve Succession marking the first special for the brand taking place on October 15, both championships will be on the line.
The Men’s Evolve Championship is currently held by Jackson Drake, with a further match announced for October 24.
That match could potentially see Drake go up against WWE ID Champion Cappuccino Jones, depending on the result of Evolve Succession.
If Drake retains the WWE Men’s Evolve Championship on October 15, he will defend his gold against Jones in a match on October 24.
The match was confirmed by the official WWE ID Twitter account, which shared the following announcement about the Wrestling Federation of America ‘The ID Showcase’ show on October 24:
@wfawrestling1 presents The ID Showcase on October 24th in Concord, NH.

The challenger for the Women’s Evolve Championship will be determined over the coming weeks.
