Several WWE ID Wrestlers Released

Several WWE ID departures have been revealed, with a wrestler who was signed to the program confirming he’s no longer part of the initiative.

Aaron Roberts was confirmed as signing under the WWE ID program back in November of last year.

With his last match WWE ID match taking place at GCW ID Showcase on August 1, he has now confirmed that he is no longer part of the developmental program.

In a video shared on Twitter, Roberts  confirmed he had been released from his WWE ID contract, posting:

“I was fired from my dream job.”

The video would start with text that reads:

“We turn to sports with breaking news, as The Problem Aaron Roberts, the baddest man walking both sides of the Mississippi, has been released from his WWE ID contract.”

Aaron would then appear on camera, with disembodied voices stating that he had “failed” them before text stating:

“Aaron Roberts is not a failure.

“I’m still the baddest motherf**ker walking both sides of the Mississippi.”

The video would end with a confirmation of how to book Roberts for independent wrestling shows.

Roberts competed in the WWE ID Men’s Championship tournament, losing to Jack Cartwheel back in June at the NYWC ID Showcase.

In a new update, PWInsider reports that both Ice Williams and Jordan Oasis have been released from the WWE ID program.

The report noted that both will make their final appearances on upcoming episodes of WWE Evolve, with their final matches already taped.

WWE ID was launched in January as a support pathway for independent wrestling talent.
