Following the first couple of bouts, WWE has announced the premiere date for the airing of the first official WWE ID showcase match.
Launched on October 29, 2024, WWE ID is described as “a first-of-its-kind developmental program designed to provide up-and-coming independent wrestlers a pathway to a potential career in WWE.”
Since its launch, a number of independent wrestlers have been signed up to the program, with WrestleTalk covering signings and developments here.
Recently, the program has held showcase matches for the talent signed to deal to bring attention to these prospects.
On January 7, the WWE ID Twitter/X account announced that the first complete showcase match will air on their account on Wednesday, January 8. The post reads:

The premiere will be this Wednesday at 7:30pm EST
It remains to be seen which WWE ID Showcase Match will stream live on X this Wednesday at the time of this writing.
