WWE ID Showcase In Another Promotion Set For SummerSlam Weekend WWE

A number of WWE ID prospects have been announced for an upcoming independent wrestling show over SummerSlam weekend.

WWE SummerSlam takes place on August 2 & 3, marking the first two-night edition of the long-running Premium Live Event.

With New Jersey being the home for the upcoming WWE PLE, Game Changer Wrestling has also confirmed a number of names for their ID Showcase taking place on August 1.

The ID Showcase will see prospects from the WWE ID program compete at the GCW event being held at the Williams Center in Rutherford, New Jersey.

Game Changer Wrestling announced the ID Showcase on Twitter, sharing the first tranch of names fans can expect to see, tweeting:

The Vanity Project will be familiar to WWE Evolve and NXT viewers, with the faction being made up of Brad Baylor, Bryce Donovan, Jackson Drake, Ricky Smokes and Zayda Steel.

Kylie Rae is a former AEW wrestler who was brought into the WWE ID program and has also appeared on Evolve.

It was previously reported that Timothy Thatcher is involved in WWE ID beyond a wrestling capacity, with it being believed he operates in a coaching or training capacity.

Thatcher was previously signed to WWE NXT and was released in November 2022, with his return taking place in November of last year.

WWE ID was announced in January as a development program for independent wrestlers seeking a pathway into the company.
