The first-ever WWE ID showcase matches took place at the WWN Supershow on December 15, 2024, and now footage has emerged.
At WWN Supershow: Battle For The Belts 2024 WWE ID prospect Marcus Mathers faced Ice Williams while Aaron Roberts took on Jordan Oasis.
As previously reported, Williams and Roberts were successful in their respective matches.
It was also noted that former WWE NXT star Timothy Thatcher made an appearance with “video footage coming soon”.
The video footage has now emerged via the official WWE ID Twitter account and can be seen below this news story.
First up, Timothy Thatcher gives lesson #1 to WWE ID prospects Ice Williams and Marcus Mathers at the WWN Supershow.
Thatcher initially enters to ring to shake Ice Williams’ hand before demanding that Mathers get up and then offering a handshake to the defeated prospect.
Barely a moment would pass before Thatcher unleashed an attack on Mathers, going on to attack Williams afterwards.
He would reveal that “lesson number one” is “don’t let your guard down” as both men lay prone in the ring.
Next up, we see Aaron Roberts hit a Problem Bomb on Jordan Oasis, with the victor celebrating in the ring.
Thatcher would return to the ring, with Roberts not taking any chances and putting his fists up for a fight.
Jordan would be thrown out of the ring by Thatcher who would go on to warn Roberts that:
“You put your fists up, you best be ready to fight.”
And, fight they did, with Thatcher quickly getting the upper hand before Jordan Oasis returned to the ring to eject the former NXT star.
Thatcher went on to warn Jordan that he would remember what the prospect did in that moment.
WWE ID was launched in October 2024 and is “designed to provide up-and-coming independent wrestlers a pathway to a potential career in WWE. ”
