Last seen in a wrestling ring back in October 2015, former WWE star Ezekiel Jackson is stepping back through the ropes.
The last-ever ECW Champion and former WWE Intercontinental Champion revealed that he was training once again in October 2024.
Jackson departed from WWE in April 2014 and would go on to compete in Lucha Underground with his last match taking place in October 2015 during the wXw 15th Anniversary Tour.
During a recent vlog on his YouTube channel, the real-life Rycklon Stephens revealed that he’s training for an in-ring return.
Stephens would reveal that he’s got an appearance set for March 15, and that he’s accepting bookings.
The former WWE star stated:
“Hey guys, what’s up? Day one vlog. I’ll be doing a few of these leading into my first match back in a few years.
“I’m scheduled to be at FWE in North Carolina on March 15th.
“So, you know, I keep asking myself if I ended my career the way I wanted to, and for the most part, I didn’t. So, I’ve always had that little bit of a chip on my shoulder, as to (how) I want to end this the way I want to.
“I’ve always had a bucket list of people that I would love to compete against, so we’re looking into scheduling a few things. I am accepting bookings, and this should be fun.
“I’m still big as hell, so I’m not worried about that. I do have to get in-ring shape, so today started the journey, adding more of a cardio-based workout, adding some rowing.
“I will be getting in the ring a few times this week, for the next few weeks, so it should be a fun journey. I’m excited to see how this plays out.”
Fortitude Wrestling Entertainment will be running its Full Throttle 3rd Anniversary show on March 15 in Cary, North Carolina.
FWE announced the former WWE star’s appearance on January 21, 2025, although didn’t reveal the capacity in which he would be on the show.
Also set for the March 15 show alongside ‘Big Ryck’ are Brock & CW Anderson, Sylvain Grenier and Mark Jindrak.
