WWE Main Roster Star Causes Major Title Change At NXT Stand & Deliver WWE

Today’s NXT Stand & Deliver main show kicked off with the six-woman ladder match for Roxanne Perez’s NXT Women’s Championship.

The match was originally supposed to be Perez vs Tiffany Stratton, but there were concerns over a legitimate health issue with Perez a few weeks ago and plans changed (the ambulance storyline was a cover story for what was actually a real-life issue).

However, Perez did manage to get cleared and made it into the ladder match anyway, which also featured Stratton, Gigi Dolin, Zoey Stark, Indi Hartwell and Lyra Valkyria.

At one point it looked like Dolin was in position to win, but former Toxic Attraction teammate Jacy Jayne came out and stopped her from winning, and it was ultimately Indi Hartwell who took advantage with a little bit of a helping hand from storyline husband Dexter Lumis, as Lumis climbed the ladder with Hartwell on his shoulders and she pulled down the belt to become new champion.

Perez had reigned as NXT Women’s Champion since December 13 when she won the title from Mandy Rose who was fired the next day due to the explicit nature of what she was posting on her exclusive content page.

This is Hartwell’s second title reign in NXT as she’s previously been a Women’s Tag Team Champion alongside Candice LeRae.

UPDATE: Hartwell and Lumis reunited with LeRae and Johnny Gargano later in the show, which you can read about at this link.
