Former WWE Women’s Champion Asuka has made a reference to “The Man” Becky Lynch during her ongoing absence.
In May 2024, it was revealed that Asuka suffered a serious knee injury that has kept her out of action.
At around the same time, Becky Lynch lost the WWE Women’s World Championship to Liv Morgan and her contract expired.
Since then, Lynch has been absent from WWE programming on an extended leave of absence.
On August 16, Asuka took to social media to post a meme of Becky Lynch in a series of photos thinking about all the times she has lost to her.
Asuka defeated Lynch to retain the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WWE Royal Rumble 2019. Lynch then relinquished the Raw Women’s Championship to Asuka following Money In The Bank 2020 after revealing she was pregnant.
It remains to be seen when Asuka or Becky Lynch will make their return to WWE television at the time of this writing.
