WWE Star Teases Championship Match After Six Months Away

WWE Star Teases Championship Match After Six Months Away WWE

Following the NXT Women’s Championship Match at Heatwave, WWE NXT star Cora Jade has teased her injury return.

Making her return at NXT Deadline 2023, Cora Jade set her sights on the NXT Women’s Championship and looked poised to challenge for the gold.

Unfortunately, Jade suffered a torn ACL, MCL and meniscus at a WWE NXT live event in January 2024.

At NXT Heatwave, Roxanne Perez defeated Lola Vice to retain the NXT Women’s Championship.

After the title bout, Cora Jade took to social media to tease her injury return. She wrote:

I was told an ACL injury heals in 6-9 months. That was in January. 🙂

This tweet reacting to Roxanne Perez’s title defence seems to indicate that Cora will be targeting her former friend’s title when she makes her return from the ACL injury.

Roxanne Perez has welcomed the challenge, replying:

I dare you

Perez has held the NXT Women’s Championship since April’s Stand & Deliver premium live event, when she defeated Lyra Valkyria for the gold.
