WWE Star Suffers Injury During Championship Match Update WWE

An update has emerged on a WWE star who suffered a broken nose during their recent championship match, with the severity of their injury revealed.

After unsuccessfully challenging for Zelina Vega’s WWE Women’s US Championship at the May 24 Saturday Night’s Main Event, Chelsea Green took to Twitter to note that she had suffered a broken nose during this bout.

Dave Meltzer shared an update on Wrestling Observer Radio, noting that Green isn’t expected to be taken off WWE TV following this injury.

Noting that she suffered a clean break, Meltzer said:

“Chelsea Green broke her nose. It was a clean break, so it’s not (too) bad. She’s going to stay on television, from what I gather.”

This Women’s US Championship match was a rematch, with Vega notably defeating Green on the April 25 SmackDown episode.

It was recently reported that Green had re-signed with WWE.

Saturday Night’s Main Event was headlined by a World Heavyweight Championship match, with Jey Uso retaining over Logan Paul following interference from both John Cena and Cody Rhodes.
