An injury update emerged for a WWE star following last week’s episode of SmackDown and a championship loss over the weekend.
The February 6 episode of WWE SmackDown saw Tiffany Stratton victorious over Lash Legend and Chelsea Green in the qualifiers for the women’s Elimination Chamber match.
During the match, Green suffered a foot injury that would later be revealed to prevent her from defending the AAA Mixed Tag Team Champion over the weekend.
With Green showing off a walking boot to her tag team partner, Ethan Page, an update has now emerged on the injury that Green suffered via the Wrestling Observer Daily Update.
According to the Daily Update, Green has suffered a bruise to her ankle and not a break, with the SmackDown star not expected to be out for “too much time”.
PWInsider corroborated that Green didn’t suffer a break, writing that the belief is that she is dealing with a bad sprain.
The AAA Mixed Tag Team Championship would be defended on February 7, with Green being replaced by La Hiedra.
Mr. Iguana and Lola Vice would be victorious in the match, with the NXT star being the one to take down La Hiedra for the win.
In post-match comments, Mr. Iguana took a shot at the injured WWE star, noting that the future being “green”.
