WWE Injury Updates!

WrestleTalk has an update on the injuries of several WWE stars.

This week has been less than successful for the company and its talent where grievances are concerned, with automobile accidents, pet attacks, and plain old muscle problems the key to absences.

In fact, if ‘This Week in WWE’ was a British program, it would be Casualty.

We’ll start with ‘The Punk Princess,’ Ruby Riott. In a battle with the less than able Dana Brooke at a live event over the weekend, Riott suffered a sprained MCL. The initial diagnosis on this was that the leader of the Riott Squad would be shelved for 4 – 6 weeks, but now she will undergo a second evaluation on July 30th and should all go well, she is rumored to return to action shortly after.

‘The Artist’ known as Shinsuke Nakamura was perhaps the unluckiest of the bunch included here. During a routine pre-show check before a Smackdown Live house show Monday, the Japanese star was bitten by a police dog. With a re-evaluation of his wounds expected on July 7th, the man himself has publically stated that he expects to be back in action within two weeks. This is good news for his Extreme Rules match with Jeff Hardy, which WWE are confident will go ahead.

On Friday afternoon, Bray Wyatt was involved in a head-on collision in Tampa, Florida which, as recent reports have suggested, have seen him cited for ‘careless driving’. Withdrawn from Raw on Monday and all subsequent live event appearances, Wyatt will be re-evaluated on July 7th with a view to clearing him to compete. It is worth noting that WWE is still advertising his defense of the Raw Tag Team Championships at Extreme Rules, so they clearly expect him to return before then.

WrestleTalk will keep you up to date with the latest news on these damages as soon as more details become available.

Let us know your thoughts on these injuries, the events that lead up to them, and whether or not you believe clearances will come before July 15th. You can chat with all your favorite writers on Twitter and Discord.
