A former WWE Champion has shown off a bloody injury following a brawl with his WrestleMania 41 opponent.
Following some uncertainty in the lead-up to the April 19-20 event, Drew McIntyre confirmed that he has been cleared to compete, ahead of what will now be a Sin City Street Fight against Damian Priest.
While this match previously appeared to be in jeopardy due to McIntyre getting glass in his eye, a segment on the April 11 WWE SmackDown episode reminded fans that McIntyre previously dealt with another big injury.
On the show, McIntyre and Priest engaged in a ringside brawl, during which McIntyre appeared to be bleeding.
McIntyre has now taken to his Instagram story to reveal that the blood was from the head wound.
Indicating that this brawl opened up an old wound, McIntyre wrote:
Some old wounds never truly heal.

McIntyre notably suffered a big head wound during his Hell in a Cell match against CM Punk at WWE Bad Blood 2024, which many have speculated to be the wound that has opened up.
He reportedly required 16 staples to close the wound, and was out of action for two months following the Hell in a Cell match.
We will continue to provide updates on Drew McIntyre’s status as they become available.
