Intense Dispute As WWE Star Calls Another’s Gimmick ‘Stale’ After Being Accused Of Copying Catchphrase WWE

There’s been a seemingly intense war of words on Twitter between WWE Raw star Carmella and NXT’s Carmelo Hayes.

During last night’s NXT Vengeance Day, Carmella tweeted that Hayes and Trick Williams should stop using her catchphrase.

Her catchphrase of course being Mella is Money, while Hayes and Williams can often be heard saying Melo is Money.

Carmella apparently isn’t very happy about the similarities, but Hayes’ responses to her tweets are what have gotten people talking even more.

Here’s how the back-and-forth has played out on Twitter so far:

Carmella: Can someone please tell @Carmelo_WWE and @_trickwilliams to stop using my catchphrase? #vengeanceday

Hayes: Which one? Tbh I have a lot 🤷🏾‍♂️

Carmella: Great! So use one of your many others and stop using mine. 🤗

Hayes: Tru I should switch them up, using the same one gets stale after a while 🙂

As of writing, Carmella has yet to respond to that last reply, but as the kids would say, she’s been “ratio’d” by Hayes’ rebuttal.

Carmelo Hayes beat Apollo Crews 2-0 in a 2/3 falls match at Vengeance Day, with Dabba Kato, the former Commander Azeez, returning during the match and then attacking Crews afterwards.

Carmella, on the other hand, just returned to Raw after being out for months after she had an ectopic pregnancy and miscarriage.

She’ll join Candice LeRae, Mia Yim and Piper Niven in a four-way match on Monday’s Raw to determine the final participant in the women’s Elimination Chamber match.
