WWE Interest In TNA Wrestling Star Revealed WWE

An update has emerged on WWE interest in a notable TNA Wrestling star, following recent crossover appearances.

While a number of TNA names have competed for WWE as part of the ongoing partnership, WWE NXT appears to be interested in officially bringing one of those names into WWE.

Per PWInsider, there was a lot of talk internally within NXT last week about interest in Mike Santana, following his recent appearances for WWE.

PWInsider previously noted that Santana had been given “high marks” from individuals within WWE following his previous appearances. The latest report notes that interest rose following his TNA World Championship match against Trick Williams, with Santana becoming a topic of conversation among NXT officials.

Regarding Santana’s contract, PWInsider reports that he will be under contract with TNA Wrestling through the end of 2025 as things currently stand.

The report also pointed out that Santana recently bid farewell to independent promotion House of Glory, which had essentially been his home promotion away from TNA Wrestling.

Santana made his WWE debut in a backstage segment at the May 25 NXT Battleground event, the same show during which Trick Williams defeated Joe Hendry for the TNA World Championship.

Mike Santana has wrestled two matches on WWE TV, defeating Tavion Heights on the May 27 NXT episode, and unsuccessfully challenging for Williams’ TNA World Title on the June 3 episode.
