It has been reported that Ben Carter, who rose to prominence with some stellar performances on AEW Dark recently, has actually been signed by WWE and is going to be part of the NXT UK brand moving forward.
However, it has emerged that Carter isn’t the only person who has worked a match on AEW Dark recently that WWE has reached out to, with Fightful Select reporting the following on the matter:
WWE had been reaching out to numerous AEW Dark and NJPW Strong talent. As we’ve seen, Ben Carter landed with NXT UK.
This comes after it was revealed this week that AEW had signed both Anthony Bowens and Max Caster. Fightful Select reported that WWE were actually considering signing Bowens back in the spring of last year, but hadn’t got back to him.
At this time, it is unclear which AEW Dark wrestlers, and people who have appeared on NJPW Strong for that matter, have been approached by WWE. For any potential updates, stay tuned to WrestleTalk.com.
