WWE’s forays into the indy talent market show no signs of abating.
There is a lot of speculation surrounding Impact, MLW and Lucha Underground duo Rey Fenix and Pentagon Jr., both of whom have been linked with WWE for several months.
However, according to Dave Meltzer, they will not be joining WWE any time soon.
Both are under contract to Lucha Underground and would not be able to leave until several months after the current season ends, as was the case with Ricochet last year.
According to Wrestling Inc, both have also committed to MLW through 2019.
Pentagon recently addressed the rumors of his departure at a PCW event, declaring, “I am not going anywhere. Penta will be in PCW for many more years.”
The other Impact man WWE are keeping tabs on is Killer Kross.
Kross debuted a few months ago having been revealed as the man behind a series of mysterious backstage attacks.
The Observer says that WWE and New Japan are interested in Kross, due to his impressive size and imposing look. There is no word on his current contract status with Impact or whether either company is looking to make a move for him yet.
