Earlier on in the week, ROH COO Joe Koff sat down with PWInsider for an interview, where he was asked about whether or not Dragon Lee and RUSH are expected to leave the promotion in 2021 or sign new deals.
Koff noted that “conversations are ongoing” between the two wrestlers and ROH, but it seems like ROH isn’t the only promotion interested in securing the services of the talented duo.
On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer explained that WWE has been interested in bringing RUSH and Dragon Lee into the company for some time.
However, Meltzer noted that with RUSH and Dragon Lee retaining their respective titles last night at Final Battle, it looks like they are both going to be staying with ROH, although this has not been confirmed:
“Dragon Lee retained his title and Rush retained his title. So, the big question was like, ‘are those guys staying or going?’ If those two guys would have lost it would be like ‘they’re going to WWE.’ Or, well probably WWE because I haven’t heard anything from AEW’s side about either of them, but obviously WWE wanted both of them last year and this year. So, I guess they’re gonna stay because they both retained.”
Stay tuned to WrestleTalk.com for any confirmation on whether or not ROH has managed to re-sign both RUSH and Dragon Lee, and any additional details about their contracts.
