New International WWE PLE Location Pitched By Top Star

New International WWE PLE Location Pitched By Top Star WWE

A future WWE international premium live event location has potentially been revealed, with a top star calling for WWE to visit a certain stadium.

While WWE has held several big shows outside of the US in recent years, the company is in the midst of a particularly impressive international PLE lineup.

Following Elimination Chamber in Australis in February, Backlash in France on May 4, and King & Queen of the Ring emanating from Saudi Arabia on May 25, WWE is preparing to visit Scotland for Clash at the Castle on June 15, Canada for Money in the Bank on July 6, and Germany for Bash in Berlin on August 31.

Speaking with Bleacher Report, Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio noted that he’s hopeful that a WWE PLE will emanate from Mexico within the next three years.

Sharing a pitch for a show at Estadio Azteca, Mysterio said:

“I’m hoping that it happens in the next three years. I think my people deserve something as good as a PLE. I’m truly hoping.

“We have a huge stadium over there, Estadio Azteca, which I believe is being remodeled this year. I think the fans would go crazy.

“Mexico has always been an incredible crowd for wrestling and what better than to pay it off with WWE coming over there and giving them something as special as a PLE?”

Another Mexican WWE star has responded to criticism about his booking by admitting he “wonders the same”.
