WWE SmackDown Star Teases Interpromotional Championship Match WWE

After the announcement that TNA Wrestling Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace would be challenging Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s Championship, one WWE star had an idea.

With copious other ‘forbidden door’ style combinations floating around on social media between NXT/WWE and TNA Wrestling, Cedric Alexander had a question.

Alexander took to Twitter to query current TNA Wrestling X-Division Champion Mustafa Ali if he was available for a potential crossover.

Alexander wrote:

So does this mean I can finally challenge for the #XDivision title @MustafaAli_X

Later, Mustafa Ali responded:

“i had a shot at your cruiserweight title. i should return the favor…”

Referencing their previous WWE rivalry, Alexander replied to this message, writing:

#HeartandSoul

Alexander and Ali are of course no strangers to each other, perhaps most notably having a WWE Cruiserweight Championship match against each other on the pre-show for WrestleMania 34.

Tuesday’s (May 28) episode of NXT had numerous surprises including the addition of Jordynne Grace on-screen.

Not only will Grace feature in a match against NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez at NXT Battleground, she will make her WWE singles debut next week.

Jordynne Grace looks to introduce herself to NXT fans on next Tuesday (June 4) in a singles match against Stevie Turner.

The show ended in another surprise as ‘All Ego’ Ethan Page made his surprise debut on NXT.

Several WWE stars, including former AEW TBS Champion Jade Cargill, have reacted to Ethan Page’s surprise appearance, which you can read more about right here.
