
New WWE signing and second generation wrestler Jacob Henry will stay in college while under contract with the company.
The son of WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry, Jacob Henry was recently at SummerSlam and shared a photo with Triple H.
Dave Meltzer has provided details of Jacob Henry’s deal with WWE along with his plans for the future.
Writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Meltzer has revealed:
Regarding Jacob Henry, the deal he signed was an NIL deal meaning he’ll be paid by WWE while he goes to college.
He’ll be on the University of Oklahoma wrestling team as a heavyweight which is one of the best programs in the country.
He will also be trying out for the football team in the spring.
Mark Henry has recently discussed Jacob’s passion for pro-wrestling noting that his son wants to main event WrestleMania.
In February 2024, Mark Henry congratulated his son for “going over 100 wins in high school” wrestling in a post on Instagram.
With Mark Henry no longer under an AEW contract, the WWE Hall of Famer has revealed he will be the booker and director of All Caribbean Wrestling.
Mark Henry was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2018 and is a former World Heavyweight Champion.
