Following his appearances for TNA, AAA, MLW and GCW, WWE Hall of Famer JBL has addressed a potential move to AEW.
JBL has found himself back in the pro wrestling headlines after making numerous appearances outside of WWE. The former WWE Champion has appeared in TNA Wrestling, GCW, AAA and MLW in recent months.
In a recent Q&A for Sportskeeda, JBL was asked if he wanted to appear for AEW in the future. On potentially appearing in AEW, he answered:
“I didn’t tell anybody I was going to these other promotions, and I wouldn’t tell anybody if I was going there either. I’ve always been a lifelong WWE guy, and I’ve always been loyal to WWE, so probably not.”
“But as they say, you never say never. Hypothetically, WWE gave me my big break, and everything I have right now is because of WWE.”
“I’m an incredibly loyal person to the institution—they’ve been absolutely wonderful to me. I could never see myself being somewhere else. Now, I’m not saying it wouldn’t happen, but that association for me, that’s almost a 30-year relationship.”
JBL has started a storyline with Nic Nemeth in both AAA and TNA Wrestling after helping win top titles in both promotions.
Speaking in the same Q&A, JBL addressed his current WWE contract status – follow this link here for full details.
