JD McDonagh continued to be a thorn in the side for the whole of Judgment Day apart from Finn Balor on WWE Raw.
Having recently spent much of his time buddying up to Balor much to the annoyance of Damian Priest, the August 28 episode of Raw saw McDonagh come to Priest’s aid.
As can be seen from the footage below, McDonagh helps Priest against Sami Zayn, only to receive no respect from the Judgment Day member and a beating from the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Zayn and Kevin Owens.
With Rhea Ripley later warning both Balor and Priest that changes would be coming if they didn’t start working together and bring gold to Judgment Day, McDonagh has mocked the group on social media.
USA Network asked a question of McDonagh on Twitter, posting:
“What’s it gonna take for @jd_mcdonagh to learn that he isn’t on the team?”
McDonagh would respond to this with a message of his own, saying:
“They’d be lucky to have me.”
USA Network was having none of it and retorted with:
“Yes, but they just don’t seem that into you. Sorry! 😩
“What about joining a different team? How do you feel about Vikings? @Erik_WWE @Ivar_WWE @WWEValhalla”
Not deterred from his obsession with Judgment Day, McDonagh would also tweet a reminder aimed at Damian Priest, writing:
“You’re welcome for the assist.”
On September 2, WWE Payback sees a Steel City Street Fight tag team match for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship as Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn take on Balor & Priest.
How McDonagh will factor into this remains to be seen, although the JD in his name could end up standing for Judgment Day if he has his way.
