Jeff Cobb has sent a message to a WWE star who appears to be an ally, amid speculation about a potential betrayal.
At Backlash on May 10, 2025, Jeff Cobb made his WWE debut, aligning himself with The Bloodline during Jacob Fatu’s United States Championship defense against Damian Priest, Drew McIntyre and LA Knight.
While Solo Sikoa may have welcomed the former NJPW star to the WWE, Fatu seemed surprised by Cobb’s appearance and didn’t want to speak much about it during the post-show press conference.
Amid speculation that Cobb and Fatu won’t be allies for long before a potential betrayal, Jeff Cobb has taken to Twitter to reflect on his past history with the WWE United States Champion.
Sharing an image of the pair from WWE Backlash, Jeff Cobb tweeted:
“It ain’t no ghost from your past, I see you UCE, we gonna run this place 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽”
As can be seen in the image below this news story, Fatu is clearly not rushing to embrace his former rival on the independent scene.
The dynamic between Jeff Cobb and Jacob Fatu is yet to be seen following the events of WWE Backlash, with the Samoan Werewolf seeming unaware that the former NJPW star would play into proceedings during his championship defense.
Cobb and Fatu have faced each other a number of times on the independent scene, including an APW Universal Heavyweight Championship match in November 2018.
That match would see Fatu defeat Cobb for the All Pro Wrestling title, with the pair having stood across the ring from each other in singles and tag-team action throughout that year.
Their last singles match took place at DEFY Wrestling in October 2021, going to no-contest at the Marauders show in Seattle.
Fans of both men were enthusiastic in the replies about seeing the pair together in WWE.
Solo Sikoa is advertised for the May 16 episode of WWE SmackDown, which may suggest an opportunity to learn more about what happened this past Saturday.
