TNA World Tag Team Champion Jeff Hardy has pitched the idea of a return to WWE with a feud involving CM Punk.
Hardy returned to TNA Wrestling at the June 14, 2024 Against All Odds, reuniting with his brother, Matt Hardy.
Matt recently spoke about the possibility of a return to WWE for the Hardy Boyz, revealing that content has been filmed.
During a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, Jeff Hardy pondered the possibility of a feud against CM Punk in WWE, saying:
“If CM Punk is such a superpower in the pro-wrestling game — Heel Jeff Hardy against the one and only popular CM Punk.
“I mean, I feel like that’s completely possible.”
While his Brother Nero may have been a heel persona, Jeff Hardy himself hasn’t fully embraced that perspective for his wrestling career.
They previously feuded in WWE with Punk as the heel with their August 2009 SmackDown match seeing Hardy lose a Loser Leaves WWE Steel Cage match.
Hardy has stated that a WWE Hall of Fame induction would be a perfect high-note ending to his wrestling career.
During his WWE runs, Jeff Hardy held all the singles and tag team championships, including being a six-time World Tag Team Champion with Matt Hardy.
