A prominent wrestling figure has claimed to know the name of the commentator for the WWE & NBC specials coming soon.
News of the NBC specials recently emerged with it being reported that “the return of Saturday Night’s Main Event will be announced very soon.”
WWE has also filed a trademark for the “Saturday Night’s Main Event” name, adding to the belief that the NBC shows are a return of the old-school specials.
Greg Gagne has now revealed the possible involvement of Jesse Ventura, who recently stated he had ‘agreed upon‘ a new contract with WWE.
Ventura made an appearance on the July 29 episode of WWE Raw, later revealing that “contracts have been written, contracts have been agreed upon.”
Speaking on The Straight Talk podcast, Gagne revealed details of the NBC shows and Ventura’s involvement, claiming:
” I think Jesse’s going to do the — they’re doing some NBC Saturday night shows, about four of them, they’re gonna use Jesse for that.”
With WWE SmackDown coming to the USA Network on September 13, 2024, it was initially reported that the deal includes four primetime specials per year.
